Toilet Less Than 12 Inches Wall

This is to be expected as round bowl toilets are generally shorter than the elongated ones. Elongated toilet bowls measure up to 31 inches from the wall behind the toilet to the front of the bowl. We have11 inches only. Some builders like to leave an extra 1 2 inch from the back wall to ensure a comfortable fit.

And that could easily take up a good 3 to 4 inches of valuable length space. The standard distance is 12 inches but most toilet designs can accommodate a distance of 11 to 13 inches. It is almost impossible for a two piece and elongated toilet to have an overall length of less than 27 inches.
